Old Town Theatre Show July 15 Cancelled
The theater is closing its doors for all of July quite unexpectedly. I am hoping to reschedule this show at a later date, will keep you posted.
Beans in the Belfry
Wonderful audience last night, thanks for being there!

What a great event, great cause, great people. I was a little tired from the earlier gig, but on a real good vibe when I hit the stage, and the kindness of the volunteers, the warmth of the audience, and the incredible sound that was provided were so energizing that for a moment there “I WAS SOMEBODY!” Thanks to everyone who came, it means everything to have people listen when you’re a songwriter, otherwise what’s the point? Well maybe it adds to some kind of cosmic karma collective but having the opportunity to sing and play for you is so much more fun! Thanks to Jeni Parris Brady from Naptown Music for posting photos and video from the festival, you can find them on Facebook at NAPTOWNMUSIC (https://www.facebook.com/Naptownmusic, naptownmusic.net).
Walk for the Animals
There I was, trying to like, you know, sing … and all these dogs are yapping and barking and carrying on. So I says “Hey, I’m gonna need you dogs to keep it down” and miracle of miracles, they got quiet, for a second, then one dog said something like “arrrooooooo” and so I said “Ah man, I was just kidding, you can make as much noise as you want” and right on cue they all started yapping and barking and carrying on just like before, ‘cept you know, it was different.
Homegrown Coffeehouse
What a tribute to Lynn Hollyfield, the place was packed and the audience was awesome. It’s so much fun playing with Lynn and the band (Steve Wolf on bass, Jim Queen on fiddle, Jimmy the Brink on percussion, Carey Creed on piano). Lynn’s new CD, In the Balance, is one beautiful song after another, check it out! Thanks to Lynn and Carey for singing with me during my opening set, they sounded so good!
Waynesboro, Virginia Fly Fishing and Wine Tasting Festival
We had such a good time this weekend playing in Waynesboro. Beautiful people, beautiful country. I even got to stand next to Lefty Kreh for a minute or two. I’m hoping some of that good ol’ fishin’ sense rubs off on me.
Brewer’s Alley
Had a great time playing out in Frederick. I love coming around the corner out there on 70 and seeing the mountains’ looming, welcoming presence. Rod Deacey’s poetry was definitely a highlight, Circle Game in particular. He and Mr. Holly are always good, but Monday was real good. Rockin’ Ray Jozwiak was awesome on piano, Don Brown played a great song, a real folk song, an oral history lesson really, and Dan Kenny was amazin’. It was a pleasure to meet Tony Denikos, he’s a real talent. Thanks for coming out and supporting the arts! See you out at Brewer’s again in April!
Beans in the Belfry
Thanks for listening last night, such a nice audience! Really enjoyed meeting the Boston U students who were visiting, safe journeys and best wishes!
Joe Squared North
Thanks to everyone for such a great evening! Special thanks to Andrew of June Star for helping us get set up. Man, best pizza ever at this place!
