Anne Arundel Community College Recital

My classical composition Bird on A Wire was premiered 5/16 at Anne Arundel Community College. Many thanks to Jean Canale (clarinet), Carol Burke (cello), and Melody Muselin (piano) for their hard work and wonderful performance. Also enjoyed the composition by Tobias Russell for cello and piano very much. Thanks to everyone for coming out on a Saturday afternoon. You’re awesome!

Linganore

Thanks to all who came; loved this venue. It was a beautiful evening outside on the patio. There were a couple of birds in the tent rafters. I noticed they sang on some songs and not on others. Maybe it was the key, I don’t know.

Here’s a link to videos from the barBayQ show earlier this month. Thanks to John Werntz of Shenandoah Run for the video!

Brewer’s Alley

Great audience last night. Always such a cool place to play. What a pleasure to hear songwriter Linda McRae and her husband James. Great impromptu session of Rod Deacey reminiscing on the music scene in London in the 60’s …

Trilogy

Wonderful turnout for the grand opening! Thanks for letting me be part of the new tradition. Great guest appearances from Jordan Klein and Lucas Kelly. Friday evening chillin’ in ol’ West Annapolis with good friends, pretty nice.

Walk For the Animals

Arroooo! S’up dog … Beautiful day, beautiful people, awesome animals. Everywhere you looked, there you were.

barBayQ

It’s an honor to do this show, such a great cause, and such a great staff of volunteers. Larry Byrne was simply incredible on mandolin and Ali sang beautifully on Who Found Who. Thanks to everyone for coming out (Ern, Jen, Laurie, Erica, Jamie, Stevie, Tommy, Margie, Michelle, et al. )

9 Songwriter Series at 49 West

Fun night as always at 49 West with a talented group of songwriters but truly the highpoint had to be Justin Trawick and Alison Kelly doing the acoustic version of ‘I Wanna Dance With Somebody’ … no really, the acoustic version, and yes, it was kicking.

Virginia Fly Fishing and Wine Festival

Big grins on our faces when we saw that the stage was situated next to the Carolina barbeque stand. Larry Byrne and I wolfed down a couple of sandwiches and some coffee and then had a blast playing for the next three hours. Great crowd, real nice folks, and always a pleasure working with Dana, who runs the festival, and Scott, who got us all set up. Larry and his mandolin laid down sweet melodies all afternoon. Can’t wait ’till next time.

9 Songwriter Series

The 9 at 49 West was memorable for many reasons, not the least of which was seeing Jason Ager play tuba and piano at the same time … and kickin’ it! Great cast of songwriters.
